Newcastle vs Manchester United LIVE score and goal updates as Phil Jones starts and Rondon chance

Newcastle vs Manchester United LIVE score and goal updates as Phil Jones starts and random chance

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking to make it four wins out of four at the beginning of his time in charge at Manchester United as they face Newcastle at St James' Park tonight. The caretaker manager has made three changes to the team that beat Bournemouth 4-1 at the weekend bringing in Juan Mata, Phil Jones and captain Antonio Valencia to the starting XI with Eric Bailly (suspended), Ashley Young and Jesse Lingard dropping out. Alexis Sanchez has made the bench and Solskjaer said ahead of the game that the Chilean will be involved at some point during the match having not played since November due to a hamstring injury. Teenager Tahith Chong was a surprise inclusion in the travelling squad but the teenager has had to settle for a seat in the stands.

It remains to be seen which, if any, of these will be brought in and when, but United certainly look in need of a big shake-up at the back some time soon.
